Raiding
- Friday or Saturday nights, calendar events will be created for the next lock-out period. Generally, all raids start at 9:00pm server.
- In general, all level 80s in the guild will be invited--please accept or decline as necessary.
- If the raid fills up, a day or two before the event, those who have accepted will be marked either as Confirmed or Standby.
- The decision of who goes is made by the raid leader for that particular raid. While we do try to ensure that everybody gets to go to raids with some regularity, sometimes decisions must be made with the good of the raid in mind.
- Invites go out a few minutes before raid time. People who are 10-15 minutes late will lose their spot.
Loot Rules
- When loot drops, the raid leader will call for main-spec rolls--highest roll gets the loot.
- If no one rolls, off-spec rolls will be called for.
- Multiple officers will keep a list of those who have won main-spec loot in a particular instance during the current lock-out.
- If someone who has won an epic, rolls against someone who has not, the person who has not will be awarded the loot. Off-spec loot does not count for this.
- Tier pieces are considered separate from normal loot--if you have won normal loot, you are still eligible to roll on tier pieces (unless you've already won tier).
- The previous three rules are typically rescinded for 10-man Naxxramas, which is generally run only for achievements or to gear newer characters up, but please don't be a loot-whore.
- Loot may be reserved, please see next section for details.
- Bind on pickup pattern drops can only be seen by those who can use them, so if you see them, roll need--unless the pattern is epic, in which case bring it to the raid leader's attention.
- All level 80 characters above Recruit ranking will be allowed to submit one piece of raid loot for the loot reserve list. Loot can be up to 213 level and from any raid boss with the exception of Heroic Kel'Thuzad and Heroic Malygos.
- If a piece of loot on the reserve list drops, it will be awarded to the reservee. If more than one character in the raid reserved that piece, the two will roll for it--except in the case of alts versus mains, in which case the loot will be awarded to the main.
- The reserve list is good for one piece of loot per character--once a character has received their loot, they may not put a new piece of loot on the list.
- The reserved loot can be changed by getting in contact with an officer--however, the change will not go into effect until Tuesday server maintenance.
- Those players who have, through their dedication to the guild and skill, been named as part of the Obsidian Order's progression team will be the only ones allowed to reserve loot from Heroic Kel'Thuzad or Heroic Malygos. These characters are designated in bold on the list.
General Rules
- World of Warcraft is only a game. As such, there is no reason to get worked up about it. The Obsidian Order does not appreciate drama of any kind.
- If you are caught ninjaing at any point, in the guild or out, you will be kicked from the guild.
- If you sign up for a raid, please show up for it if at all possible. If you make a habit of not showing up for raids you sign up for, we will make a habit of not inviting you.
- If you want to switch rolls (from tanking to DPS, DPS to healing, etc.) make sure this is reflected in your guild information, and if possible let an officer know so they know what they are inviting for a raid.
- Also, do not switch roles when you are part of a group that is half-way through Naxxramas without securing the permission of the raid leader first.
